About

Matthew and Caroline Owsley-Brown moved up to Norfolk in 2001 to own and run the very well-known and loved seafood restaurant, Fishes in Burnham Market, which we sold in march 2009.

We have since bought a smallholding on which we intend to grow vegetables and raise some livestock.

We have a commercial kitchen here at Conkers from which we operate our outside catering business, run cooking workshops and host the odd popup restaurant.

We are very passionate about fine, seasonal and locally sourced food. We are so lucky - Norfolk is so rich in regional produce. Since being in East Anglia we have witnessed a sea-change in the quality of goods on offer. I hope we can show you that we are part of that new wave of good food.


 

 

Previously we worked for Rick Stein in Padstow in the mid 90’s and Matthew has over 25 years’ cooking experience in many top restaurants in London, including Mosimann’s The Belfry and the Fifth Floor at Harvey Nichols.

We are conveniently placed near the A47 between Kings Lynn and Swaffham.

All our menus are individually tailored suit to your needs, be it a birthday celebration, wedding, christening, shooting dinner or any other reason for a party. You can trust us to deliver quality, professionalism and enthusiasm.
